A new twist on the traditional girls’ night out is creating impactful change for local women and girls.
What could be better than getting together for a fun time with close friends and like-minded neighbors? Gathering for good. The Women’s Foundation of Collier County has launched Gather for Good— a girls’ night out initiative that encourages local women to host brunch, golf outing, book club, sip and shop, or jewelry party with their besties to support the Foundation’s new campaign, “Women Lifting Women.” WFCC has created a handy Gather for Good planning kit to help hostesses execute their events seamlessly, with a vendor resource list for invitations, catering, photography, and other tips.
Gather for Good, transforms traditional gatherings into opportunities for change. It’s more than a girls’ night out; it’s a movement where every event can be a powerful opportunity for change, and a chance to uplift the women and girls in our community.
Success That Speaks
The initiative has already shown its power. The first two Gather for Good events raised a combined total of $143,000, providing shelter and essential services for homeless women, helping them regain their footing and dignity.
These events, ranging from intimate conversations to larger gatherings, have struck a chord within the community, generating significant excitement and conversation in Naples and beyond.
Each gathering under Gather for Good not only raises funds but also awareness about the critical needs of women and girls in Collier County. It’s about sharing stories, understanding the challenges, and coming together to offer tangible solutions.
It’s about ensuring every woman and girl has the support and opportunities they deserve.
